Angie is a Partner and Head of Employment Law at Thomas Mansfield Solicitors.

Angie handles both employer and employee work and has particular expertise in TUPE. She has significant experience in the financial services, IT, aviation and engineering sectors, negotiating high-value settlements and litigating complex claims for employers. Her approach is to resolve disputes pragmatically and at an early stage wherever possible.

Angie works closely with in-house HR departments, often acting as a sounding board for them in difficult scenarios. She advises employers on day-to-day employment issues including disciplinaries, contracts of employment, redundancy programmes and other matters.

Angie regularly advises on the employment law aspects of transactional work, and has been heavily involved with complex TUPE transactions involving second generation outsourcing. She also has experience of supporting clients tendering for public sector work and large scale redundancy/restructures. She also appears in tribunal and deals with all forms of tribunal proceedings.

Angie is also instructed by senior executives and receives most of her work through recommendations.

Angie started her career in the city, qualifying in 1999. After a few years practising as a general litigator she then worked in a law firm in Spain for three years, returning to practise in a highly regarded regional firm as part of the commercial team, dealing exclusively with employment law. This grounding has given Angie great commercial awareness which her clients appreciate.
