We are looking for a strong academic record and appropriate experience, coupled with enthusiasm and good communication skills. Since so many of our solicitors work autonomously, good IT skills are also essential, including the ability to type your own letters quickly, record time on a client management system, and dictate using a digital recorder. Also a good working knowledge of Word and Outlook goes without saying. As a solicitor at Thomas Mansfield you will benefit from our flexible approach to working hours and location, although we do expect our solicitors to travel to different offices for client meetings if necessary. Equally, if appropriate, we are happy to let you work from home. All our solicitors have the ability to work remotely with full access to all essential IT systems.

You will also benefit from our bonus scheme, which provides rewards bi-annually for the achievement of realistic financial goals.

Trainee Solicitors

We have no training contracts to offer at the moment. Since we specialise in employment law, we can only offer two seats (contentious litigation and non-contentious employment), so when we do accept trainees, they will need to organise their additional seats in association with other law firms beforehand.

Paralegals and Legal Executives

We have no current vacancies for paralegals or legal executives.


Excellent organisation and communication skills are a given for all our administrators at ThomasMansfield. We require all administrative staff to undertake a wide variety of work, including communicating with existing and potential clients, solicitors, barristers, audio typing (digital dictation), filing, archiving, booking appointments, organising calendars and refreshments, and other necessary tasks. This obviously means that a flexible approach is essential, as is the ability to work fast and accurately either on your own or as part of a busy team. You will benefit from our supportive working environment, and our friendly, open firm culture.
